AOV Side Hung Facade Window - SV-W-W2

The SV-W-W2 AOV Side Hung Facade Window is an electrically operated smoke ventilation window designed to provide natural smoke extraction from communal areas within residential, commercial and multi-storey buildings.

Installed as part of an Automatic Opening Vent (AOV) system, it allows smoke to be exhausted from areas such as corridors, lobbies and stairwells during a fire.

Featuring a side-hung opening configuration, the SV-W-W2 is designed for installation within building facades. The window opens to an angle of 85°, providing a geometric free area of 1m² or 1.5m², depending on the selected vent size. Bespoke dimensions are available to accommodate individual building designs and smoke ventilation requirements.

Manufactured with an aluminium frame, the window is supplied with double glazing as standard, with triple glazing available as an alternative. Custom RAL colour options allow the frame finish to be specified to complement the surrounding facade and architectural design.

The SV-W-W2 operates using 24V DC electric actuators, with current consumption ranging from 2A to 5.2A depending on the vent size. The actuator type and opening configuration are selected to achieve the required geometric free area for the installation.

Certified and tested in accordance with EN 12101-2, the SV-W-W2 is designed for use in natural smoke ventilation systems where certified smoke exhaust windows are required.

Each unit is supplied with one smoke ventilation window and two actuators, providing the main operating components for integration into a suitably designed AOV system. Typical applications include end-of-corridor installations and smoke ventilation at the head of stairwells.
