The SV-W-GL1 AOV Facade Louvre is an electrically operated glazed smoke ventilation louvre designed for natural smoke extraction in residential, commercial and multi-storey buildings. Combining smoke ventilation functionality with weather tightness, thermal protection and security, it provides a practical solution for facade installations where both ventilation performance and building design are important.
Featuring a multi-blade glazed construction, the SV-W-GL1 incorporates glass louvres framed with aluminium profiles. The thermally broken aluminium frame supports improved thermal separation, while the insulated glazing options make the louvre suitable for applications where heat retention and weather protection are important considerations.
The SV-W-GL1 is available in 800 x 2000mm, 1000 x 2000mm and 1200 x 1200mm configurations, with bespoke sizes also available. Depending on the selected vent size, the louvre provides a geometric free area of 1m² or 1.5m². Standard size variants are also available with specified free areas of 1.19m², 1.54m² and 1.08m² respectively.
The louvre blades can incorporate double or triple insulated glazing with glass thicknesses of 28mm or 32mm. Alternative sandwich panel infill options are also available, offering flexibility to accommodate different architectural and thermal requirements. Custom RAL colour finishes allow the frame to complement the surrounding building facade.
Operating from a 24V DC supply, the SV-W-GL1 uses an electric actuator to provide an 84° opening angle, with a current consumption of 0.7A. The unit is also described as providing RC2 burglar resistance, offering an additional security consideration for suitable installations.
Certified and tested in accordance with EN 12101-2, the SV-W-GL1 is designed for integration into natural smoke ventilation systems. Typical applications include end-of-corridor installations and smoke ventilation at the head of stairwells.
Each unit is supplied with one glazed louvre vent and one actuator.
