AOV Facade Glazed Louvre - SV-W-GL2

The SV-W-GL2 AOV Facade Glazed Louvre is an electrically operated smoke ventilation louvre designed to provide natural smoke extraction from communal areas within residential, commercial and multi-storey buildings.

Developed for smoke ventilation applications, it combines effective smoke exhaust performance with an architectural glazed design, making it suitable for installations where insulated glazing is not required.

Featuring a multi-blade opening configuration, the SV-W-GL2 allows smoke to escape through the facade when activated as part of an Automatic Opening Vent (AOV) system. The louvre is available in bespoke sizes to achieve a geometric free area of 1m² or 1.5m², depending on the selected vent dimensions and project requirements.

Constructed using thermally broken aluminium profiles, the louvre offers a range of glazing and infill options. Glass blades are available in 8mm, 10mm or 12mm thicknesses, with alternative timber, aluminium or stone panels available to accommodate different architectural requirements. Custom RAL colour options allow the frame to complement the surrounding facade.

The SV-W-GL2 operates using a 24V DC electric actuator, providing an opening angle of 84° with a current consumption of 0.7A. The louvre design combines good tightness with an attractive appearance while providing the required opening for natural smoke ventilation.

Certified and tested in accordance with EN 12101-2, the SV-W-GL2 is suitable for use in natural smoke ventilation systems requiring certified smoke exhaust equipment.

Each unit is supplied with one glazed louvre vent and one actuator, providing the main operating components for integration into a suitably designed AOV system. Typical applications include end-of-corridor installations and smoke ventilation at the head of stairwells.
