AOV Bottom Hung Facade Window - SV-W-W1

The SV-W-W1 AOV Bottom Hung Facade Window is an electrically operated smoke ventilation window designed to provide natural smoke extraction from communal areas within residential, commercial and multi-storey buildings.

Installed as part of an Automatic Opening Vent (AOV) system, it helps remove smoke from areas such as corridors, lobbies and stairwells during a fire.

Featuring a bottom-hung opening mechanism, the SV-W-W1 is designed for installation within building facades, providing an effective smoke exhaust solution. The window is available in bespoke sizes to achieve a geometric free area of 1m² or 1.5m², depending on the ventilation requirements and window dimensions.

Constructed with an aluminium frame, the window is supplied with double glazing as standard, with triple glazing also available. Custom RAL colour options allow the frame finish to be specified to suit the building's architectural design.

The SV-W-W1 operates using 24V DC electric actuators, with an opening angle of 40–60°. The actuator type, opening angle and opening direction are selected according to the required free area, allowing the window configuration to meet the specified smoke ventilation design.

Certified and tested in accordance with EN 12101-2, the SV-W-W1 is suitable for use in natural smoke ventilation systems where compliant smoke exhaust equipment is required.

Each unit is supplied with one smoke ventilation window and two actuators, providing the main operating components for integration into an appropriately designed AOV system. Typical applications include end-of-corridor installations and stairwell smoke ventilation.
