The Ajax Baseline Button Wireless Panic Button is a compact wireless smart button for Ajax security systems, providing a fast and flexible way to trigger alarms, control automation devices or mute interconnected fire detector alarms. Its operating mode can be configured remotely through Ajax mobile and desktop apps by a PRO or user with administrator rights.
In Panic mode, the Button can be assigned to one of eight event types: intrusion, fire, medical help, gas alarm, panic button, malfunction, leakage or a custom event. This allows notifications and alarm codes to reflect the type of incident being reported. Protection against accidental activation can also be enabled using a double or long press.
The Button communicates using Ajax Jeweller wireless technology, providing encrypted two-way communication with a compatible Ajax hub or range extender. Its radio communication range reaches up to 1,300 m in open space, while device authentication helps protect against spoofing.
In Control mode, the Button can operate one or several compatible Ajax automation devices, including relays and smart sockets. Different actions can be assigned to short and long presses, allowing a single Button to perform multiple control functions.
Installation and setup are straightforward, with pairing carried out by scanning the QR code in the Ajax app. The Button can be carried on a key ring or cord, attached using the supplied double-sided tape or installed on a flat surface using the separately available Holder bracket. Its IP55 enclosure provides protection for a range of everyday installation environments.
