The Notifier NFXI-TFIX78 Fixed Temperature 78°C Heat Detector (White) is an analogue addressable heat sensor that uses low-mass thermistors and microprocessor technology to provide a fast response and highly accurate, linear temperature measurement. This linear performance enables detection across the 58°C (Class A1S) to 78°C (Class BS) temperature range.
The NFXI-TFIX78 utilises the same sensing and processing platform and can also trigger an alarm if the temperature increases at a rate greater than approximately 10°C per minute, or if it exceeds 58°C (Response Class A1R). Through the Opal protocol, the detector can be configured in software as a fixed 58°C unit, a fixed 78°C unit, or a 58°C rate-of-rise device. For continued backwards compatibility and approval compliance, each configuration is also supplied under separate part numbers.
All three heat detector types feature sensing elements that can be adjusted directly from the control panel via the Opal Protocol, enabling sensitivity levels to be tailored to suit changing conditions in the protected area. Each detector is equipped with built-in short-circuit isolation and includes two tri-colour LEDs that provide full 360° visibility of device status. The LEDs support programmable static or flashing red, amber, and green indications.
Built in short circuit isolation
New advanced Opal protocol allows mapping of the loop for precise fault location using isolators
Tri colour LED offering red, green and amber colours
Rotary decade address switches
Pure white colour to complement modern buildings
100% mechanical and electrical backwards compatibility
Base designed to ease installation and wiring
