The Notifier NFXI-TDIFF A1R 58°C Heat Detector is an analogue addressable unit that uses low-mass thermistors and microprocessor technology to deliver rapid response and accurate, linear temperature sensing. Thanks to this linear behaviour, the detector can signal temperatures ranging from 58°C (Class A1S) to 78°C (Class BS).
The Opal NFXI-TDIFF also employs thermistor and microprocessor technology to trigger an alarm when the temperature rises at more than approximately 10°C per minute, or when it exceeds the 58°C threshold (Response Class A1R). Through Notifier’s Opal protocol, the device can be software-configured as a fixed 58°C unit, a fixed 78°C model, or a 58°C detector with rate-of-rise functionality. For compatibility with legacy systems and existing approvals, three dedicated versions are still offered as separate part numbers.
All three sensor types feature panel-controlled sensing elements via the Opal Protocol, enabling sensitivity settings to be adjusted to suit changes in the protected area’s use. Each detector includes built-in short-circuit isolation and two tri-colour LEDs that provide 360° visual status indication, programmable for static or flashing red, amber, or green signals.
Built in short circuit isolation
New advanced Opal protocol allows mapping of the loop for precise fault location using isolators
Tri colour LED offering red, green and amber colours
Rotary decade address switches
Pure white colour to complement modern buildings
100% mechanical and electrical backwards compatibility
