The Notifier NFXI-SMT2 Addressable Multisensor Detector enhances a standard photoelectric smoke sensor with thermal assistance, providing improved immunity to false alarms and quicker reaction to a broad range of developing fires. This plug-in unit integrates two independent sensing technologies, coordinated by embedded software to function as a single, intelligent detector.
The NFXI-SMT2 complies with EN54-7 for smoke detection and includes a 58°C fixed-temperature and rate-of-rise thermal feature in line with EN54-5. Its thermal function uses thermistor technology combined with software-adjusted linear temperature processing. In environments where routine activity may trigger nuisance alarms, the detector can be set to operate in “heat-only” mode, automatically returning to full photo-thermal sensing during unoccupied times.
Both sensing elements are fully panel-controllable, allowing sensitivity levels to be adjusted to suit changes in how the protected area is used. The detector also includes built-in short-circuit isolation and two tri-colour LEDs that provide 360° visual status indication. These LEDs can be programmed for static or flashing red, amber, or green signals.
Built in short circuit isolation
New advanced Opal protocol allows mapping of the loop for precise fault location using isolators
Tri colour LED offering red, green and amber colours
Rotary decade address switches
Pure white colour to complement modern buildings
100% mechanical and electrical backwards compatibility
Base designed to ease installation and wiring
Height | 61mm installed in B501AP base |
Diameter | 102mm installed in B501AP base |
