The Notifier NFXI-SMT3 Analogue Smoke/Heat/IR Multisensor Detector provides an environmentally friendly replacement for traditional ionisation detectors, a technology now more than sixty years old. The SMART3 matches the rapid response of ionisation units to fast-flaming fires while offering significantly greater resistance to false alarms. It is well-suited to areas where the primary threat comes from rapidly developing flames, delivering a new level of false alarm immunity.

Beyond replacing ionisation technology, SMART3 outperforms alternatives such as dual-angle or dual-wavelength optical detectors and photo-thermal sensors. By continuously monitoring all three key fire signatures, smoke, heat, and infrared, the detector reacts much more quickly to genuine fire conditions while maintaining exceptional resistance to nuisance triggers. Its internal software actively adjusts sensor thresholds, gain, delays, combinations, sampling and averaging rates, and can even compensate for a failed sensor while signalling a fault.

All sensing elements are fully controllable from the panel, allowing sensitivity settings to be tailored to changes in how the protected space is used. The detector also features built-in short-circuit isolation and two tri-colour LEDs that provide 360° visual status indication, programmable for static or flashing red, amber, or green displays.
