Hochiki YBN-R/4I Intrinsically Safe Mounting Base (Ivory)

The Hochiki YBN-R/4I Intrinsically Safe Mounting Base (Ivory) is a conventional detector base designed for use with intrinsically safe fire detection systems.

Specifically developed to work alongside the Hochiki intrinsically safe detector range, this base provides secure and reliable mounting while maintaining system integrity in hazardous environments.

Its low-profile design, at just 8mm high, allows for a discreet installation, while the robust construction ensures long-term durability in demanding applications. The base is electronics-free, simplifying installation and reducing potential points of failure.

Fitted with square cable clamps, it offers quick and secure cable termination and supports cable sizes from 1mm² to 2.5mm². A dedicated cable screen terminal is also included to support proper earthing and system performance.

Please note, the base does not provide line continuity when a detector is removed, so if manual call points are used on the same circuit, they should be wired before the base on the zone.
