Hochiki ACD-EN Multi-Sensor with CO (Ivory)

The Hochiki ACD-EN Multi-Sensor with CO (Ivory) is an advanced fire detection device designed to deliver highly reliable, intelligent multi-criteria detection. By combining several sensing technologies in one unit, including smoke, heat, and carbon monoxide monitoring, the detector can accurately identify fire conditions while significantly reducing the risk of false alarms.

With 24 EN-approved operating modes, the Hochiki ACD-EN can be configured to suit a wide range of environments and risk profiles. Detection modes include combinations of optical smoke detection, fixed temperature heat detection, rate-of-rise heat detection, carbon monoxide (CO) detection, and COHb detection, making it suitable for complex applications where a single detection method may not be sufficient.

The device also features day and night operating modes, allowing installers to adjust sensitivity depending on occupancy levels or environmental conditions. This flexibility helps maintain reliable protection while minimising unwanted alarms.

To further improve accuracy, the detector incorporates Hochiki’s SMART (Suitable Moving Average Time) algorithm, which continuously adjusts detector sensitivity based on environmental conditions. In clean environments, response time improves, while transient smoke or environmental changes automatically increase the delay to reduce false alarms.

The Hochiki ACD-EN is compatible with a range of Hochiki mounting bases, including standard bases, loop-powered sounder bases, sounder beacon bases, and short-circuit isolator bases, allowing flexible installation across many fire alarm system designs.

Compatible bases include the Hochiki YBN-R/3, the Hochiki YBO-BS, the Hochiki YBO-BSB2/RL, the Hochiki YBO-BSB2/WL and the Hochiki YBN-R/3(SCI)
