The Eaton (Scantronic) SDR-D-EXT-NC External Siren Dummy Backplate is a decoy external sounder designed to provide a visible intruder alarm deterrent without the need for a live siren connection.

It is intended for peripheral areas or additional elevation points where the appearance of a full external siren can help strengthen the visual security presence on a property.

It uses the same common impact-resistant polycarbonate enclosure design as the live siren models in the range, giving it an identical appearance to a working external sounder.

This makes it a practical choice where a matching look is important across the installation. The dummy backplate is surface mounted and built from plastic with an ABS cover and polycarbonate lens construction.

It is CE certified and designed for straightforward external fitting as part of a wider intruder alarm installation.
