Eaton DET-2R-DT Wireless Internal Motion Detector

The Eaton (Scantronic) DET-2R-DT is a wireless internal motion detector that uses dual technology, combining PIR and microwave sensing for more dependable detection in more demanding indoor environments.

It is a Grade 2 radio detector designed for intruder alarm systems where a standard PIR may be less suitable.

Because it combines infrared and microwave detection, it is particularly well suited to areas such as garages, conservatories and other spaces affected by changing temperatures, direct sunlight or repetitive movement.

Eatons' current Scantronic system manual specifically positions the DET-2R-DT for these kinds of environments.

The detector is designed for wireless operation with compatible Scantronic Secure Radio systems, helping reduce cabling and support more flexible installation.

It is surface mounted, includes tamper protection and offers pet-tolerant functionality, making it a practical option for both residential and light commercial settings.

The DET-2R-DT uses combined alarm confirmation to help improve detection performance, with a free-space radio range of up to 700 metres.
