Dahua AirShield Smart Alarm Wireless Glass Break Detector

The Dahua DHI-ARD512-W2(868) Wireless Glass Break Detector is designed to recognise the sound of breaking glass and trigger an alarm in real time when used with a compatible Dahua AirShield alarm system. It is suitable for indoor use in homes, offices, shops and other buildings where windows or glazed areas may need additional intrusion detection.

Using a highly sensitive omnidirectional microphone, the detector listens for both low-frequency and high-frequency sounds associated with glass breaking. This dual sound detection method is supported by built-in algorithms that help reduce false alarms caused by environmental noise, making it a practical option for protecting vulnerable glazed entry points.

The detector can identify breakage across a range of glass types, including tempered, double-glazed, laminated, wired, plate and float glass. It supports a maximum detection range of 9m and is designed for glass thicknesses from 2.4mm to 6.4mm, with glass sizes from 0.3m x 0.3m up to 3m x 3m.

Wireless performance is supported by two-way encrypted communication, AES128 encryption and frequency hopping technology. This helps maintain secure and stable communication with the alarm hub, even where the original wireless frequency is affected by interference. The detector also supports tamper detection, low-battery detection, cloud update and automatic recovery from update failure.

Powered by a single CR123A battery, the unit offers up to 3 years of battery life when the external input type is NO. It also includes two alarm inputs for connecting third-party wired detectors, adding further flexibility to the installation.
