The Baldwin Boxall BVOCECPS Stainless Steel Disabled Refuge Remote Unit is a high-quality outstation designed for use with OmniCare Emergency Voice Communication (EVC) systems.

It provides clear, hands-free, two-way communication between a refuge point and the OmniCare master panel, ensuring safe evacuation management for people with mobility impairments.

The unit is self-powered from the ring circuit, requiring no local mains supply, with automatic battery backup provided by the control panel in the event of power failure.

A stainless steel finish offers durability for public buildings, stairwells and fire-protected lobbies, while the addressable design ensures reliable integration across a full OmniCare loop.

The BVOCECPS includes a stainless steel “Press to Call” button, system status indicators, and optional key-switch reset. Volt-free contacts can be used to trigger overdoor lamps or external indicators if required.

It is fully compliant with BS 5839-9:2021, making it suitable for new installations and refurbishments across multi-storey, public or commercial buildings.

Flush-mounting is possible using an optional bezel, and multiple outstation types (refuge points, fire telephones, emergency assistance alarms and combined units) can all be installed on the same loop.
