The Apollo XPander Diversity Loop Interface Module XPA-IN-14050-APO is designed to connect wired Apollo addressable loops with XPander wireless devices, creating a hybrid fire detection solution that combines the reliability of wired infrastructure with the flexibility of wireless expansion.
Acting as a bridge between an Apollo wired loop and XPander radio field devices, the interface reports the status of each wireless device directly back to the control panel via the XP95 protocol, including compatibility with Discovery protocol systems.
This makes it ideal for extending existing Apollo XP95 or Discovery installations into areas where additional cabling is difficult, disruptive or impractical.
Only the loop interface itself requires wiring and is loop powered. All connected XPander field devices are battery powered, significantly reducing installation time and containment requirements.
Each Diversity Loop Interface can support up to 31 wireless XPander devices, and up to five loop interfaces can be installed on a single wired loop, allowing substantial wireless expansion capacity on one system.
Designed to EN54-25 wireless fire detection standards, the module provides secure and reliable radio communication in line with recognised performance requirements.
An onboard LCD display simplifies configuration, signal strength checking and status monitoring during commissioning and maintenance.
