The Apollo Discovery 58000-305APO CO & Heat Multisensor Detector is an addressable fire detector that combines carbon monoxide sensing with heat detection in a single device.
It uses an electrochemical CO cell and thermistor temperature sensor, with the signals combined according to the selected response mode.
Designed for use on compatible Apollo Discovery, XP95 and CoreProtocol addressable systems, this detector provides flexible fire detection for applications where both carbon monoxide and heat response may be required.
The CO sensor is particularly useful for identifying carbon monoxide produced by smouldering fires, while the heat element helps support detection of rising temperatures and flaming fire conditions.
The detector offers multiple response modes, allowing the system design to be adapted to the environment. These modes include combined CO and heat sensitivity, CO-only operation and heat-only operation. In heat-only mode, the detector operates as an A1R rate-of-rise heat detector with a static threshold of 58°C.
This makes the 58000-305APO suitable for a range of addressable fire alarm applications where detector performance needs to be matched to the fire risk and site conditions.
As part of the Apollo Discovery range, it should be connected to compatible control and indicating equipment designed to support Discovery device operation and configuration.
