Apollo 53546-021APO Series 65 Duct Smoke Detector

The Apollo 53546-021APO Series 65 conventional duct smoke detector is designed to give early warning of smoke in air moving through HVAC ductwork in commercial and industrial buildings.

Supplied as a complete housing with an Apollo volt-free relay base, it can be fitted to the side, top or underside of the duct. Two tubes pass through holes in the duct wall to sample the airflow.

A perforated sampling tube is installed across the duct, upstream of the exhaust tube. This creates the pressure difference needed to draw air through the sampling tube, across the detector and back into the duct.

It’s designed for ducts between 300mm and 3000mm wide. A 360mm sampling tube is supplied as standard, suitable for duct widths up to 540mm, with longer tubes available for larger ducts.

This unit sits within the wider Apollo Series 65 range, so it’s a straightforward match for Series 65 conventional devices and installations.
