Kingpin Emergency Door Bolt

The Kingpin Emergency Door Bolt is a mechanical emergency exit device designed for use on final exit doors in environments where a simple and reliable emergency release method is required.

Constructed from robust die-cast aluminium with a red powder-coated finish, the unit features a 12mm plated steel spring-loaded bolt that securely holds the door closed during normal operation. In an emergency, pulling the kingpin causes it to break into two sections, automatically retracting the bolt and releasing the door. The broken sections remain attached to the bolt, helping to prevent loose parts.

The Kingpin Emergency Door Bolt is particularly suited to food preparation areas, clean rooms and other locations where conventional emergency door hardware may not be suitable.

Supplied complete with fixings, two replacement kingpin breakable cones and two keys for the lock, this emergency door bolt provides a straightforward solution for securing emergency exit doors whilst maintaining a simple means of escape.
