Apollo Intelligent Flameproof IR² Flame Detector (55000-295APO)
Code: FDS002/517
Code: FDS002/517
The Apollo Flameproof Intelligent IR² Flame Detector is designed for fast, reliable flame detection in hazardous indoor environments where open flaming fires may occur, including aircraft hangars, coal handling facilities, paper plants, and woodworking areas. Equipped with two infrared sensors operating at different wavelengths, it accurately distinguishes real flames from spurious radiation.
Sensitive to low-frequency, flickering IR radiation (1–15 Hz, 1–2.7 μm), the detector can identify flames even when lenses are partially obscured by oil, dust, water vapour, or ice, and it detects flickering flames invisible to the naked eye, including hydrogen fires. Advanced filtering and signal processing minimize false alarms from sources such as flickering sunlight or lighting.
BASEEFA-approved and compliant with the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC, the detector is loop-powered, requires no external supply, and supports remote LED alarm indication. It offers a 90° field of view with coverage up to 40 m, supports remote optical self-tests, and is compatible with Apollo XP95 and Discovery digital protocol control equipment.
